I have received positive results from my latest MRI and CT scan! All is looking good so I’m now dancing and feeling almost 100 % again! Just in time for spring!
I enjoyed some time in NS in February – teaching with Gordon Stobbe, Greg Simm and Stacey Read at Shivering Strings Music Camp. Not a bad place to be “snowed in”.
Greg and I got back into the swing of things with a couple of small concerts and that should have us in good shape for a good run of shows in May. We will be hitting many spots in NS and several in NB so watch for details on my events page.
I recently received a travel grant from Canada Council for the Arts! My first ever and I couldn’t be happier. It will allow me to travel to Wisconsin this year to teach and promote Canadian Fiddle music at “Strings without Boundaries”. http://www.stringswithoutboundaries.com/locations/lu.html
This event also allows me to continue to grow as a musician and as a music educator.
I look forward to seeing many of you out and about now that spring is around the corner. Take care of yourselves and I will see you soon.
Please check out my bio page as I have updated it slightly and it features three new photos of a recent show – compliments of Lorne Carmichael, photography.
I have also added some new photos to the Gallery. I know…. I need to do it more often!Tags: Canada Council for the Arts, concerts, Fiddle camps, Fiddle Instructor, fiddling, Gordon Stobbe, Greg Simm, Lorne Carmichael, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Parrsboro, Ships Company Theatre, Shivering Strings, singing, Stacey Read, Stepdancing, strings without boundaries
