I have received positive results from my latest MRI and CT scan! All is looking good so I’m now dancing and feeling almost 100 % again! Just in time for spring!
I enjoyed some time in NS in February – teaching with Gordon Stobbe, Greg Simm and Stacey Read at Shivering Strings Music Camp. Not a bad place to be “snowed in”.
Greg and I got back into the swing of things with a couple of small concerts and that should have us in good shape for a good run of shows in May. We will be hitting many spots in NS and several in NB so watch for details on my events page.
I recently received a travel grant from Canada Council for the Arts! My first ever and I couldn’t be happier. It will allow me to travel to Wisconsin this year to teach and promote Canadian Fiddle music at “Strings without Boundaries”. http://www.stringswithoutboundaries.com/locations/lu.html
This event also allows me to continue to grow as a musician and as a music educator.
I look forward to seeing many of you out and about now that spring is around the corner. Take care of yourselves and I will see you soon.
Please check out my bio page as I have updated it slightly and it features three new photos of a recent show – compliments of Lorne Carmichael, photography.
I have also added some new photos to the Gallery. I know…. I need to do it more often!
