Our Ottawa Hospital (Brain Trauma) Benefit concert was a huge success on Sunday! I had no idea we would get such a great turnout…. to the point of having to turn many people away, unfortunately. I was blown away.
It was a packed house and the energy on and off stage was incredible. Wayne Rostad and Bobby Lalonde both brought their best to the event, as always, and it was a real honour and privilege to have them there. Thank you to Peggy White and Kathryn Briggs for making our part of the show so much fun and enjoyable for everyone.
Elsie Formagie was the fire ball behind the whole thing after I suggested doing a fundraiser many months ago. She enlisted the help of many friends and family members who all jumped in wholeheartedly. It was such a slick operating system, it’s a shame we only had the ONE occasion! Way to go team!
With great music, incredible, donated auction items and a cash draw, we were able to make a net profit of close to $8000.00 for the cause!!! Congratulations everyone!!!!!!!! (I will be meeting with my surgeons directly in late August for an official donation ceremony however the money will be in their hands by next week)

I enjoyed a great 3 week tour with Greg Simm in many parts of NS and NB. Always a great time of music, fun and friendship. Thanks Greg for doing such a great job of scheduling things for us. Thank you to Ship’s Company theatre as well for a another great fiddle camp weekend.
Much coming up as well so check my schedule for dates in Eastern Ontario, working with my full band and at times with a trio. I’ll be working at the Maritime Fiddle Festival in Dartmouth, NS in July, followed by a week of teaching in Clear Lake, Manitoba and then in Appleton, WI. There are also some live performances squeezed in there!!!
Looking forward to all of our shows this summer and are excited to be hitting the Stewart Park Festival in Perth and the Palmer Rapids Jamboree! Hope to see you all very soon and thank you, as always, for your interest and support! Cheers, Kelli… I will add some pictures here for you too!
