What an experience it was to be Inducted into the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame on Sept 27! I was very honoured to have been chosen for this but had no idea how moving and exciting the actual Event would be.
Leading up to the Induction evening, I enjoyed the International Plowing Match with my Mushy Peas in Finch, ON. We had a full house (well a full tent) for both of our shows on the main stage. The crowd was so warm and inviting and we shared many laughs over the course of the afternoon. Thank you all for coming out!
The Bereaved Families Gala in Cornwall on the Saturday was another beautiful and moving event. It is a wonderful evening bringing joy and friends together for a great cause. It was a pleasure to be a part of this event again.
By Sunday afternoon, arriving at the Centerpoint Theatre in Nepean, ON, I was feeling a little sluggish. Once I entered the Theatre though and felt the positive energy from the other artists and everyone involved in the “making” of this event, I couldn’t help but be rejuvenated!
The Country Music Hall of Fame Event and Inductions were absolutely first class all the way. Congratulations to everyone involved for putting together a seamless and highly entertaining show! I was really blown away by the number of people involved and the organization that was necessary to pull off such a captivating event.
Thank you to everyone at Heritage Valley Radio for the huge role you played in this event and for your support in my career.
The level of musicianship on stage was second to none and it was a thrill to be backed by them all for my own performance. Thank you to Brian Hebert for doing such a great job as band leader.
Bobby Lalonde delivered my Induction speech and did a wonderful job. I received a beautiful plaque and gorgeous photographed portrait as gifts from the OVCMHOF. Both incredibly special keepsakes.
Thank you to everyone involved in the evening and to so many of my friends and fans who came out to show their support. I was blown away by seeing so many of you!
It was a night I will never forget. Thank you Everyone for this Honour…… and the validation that I chose the right path!
