My Band!

Strings Without Boundaries

Stewart Park Festival with Russell DeCarles

Well once again, I want to apologize for the long delay!   I have been on the run it seems all summer so far.  Enjoying ALL of it but there is no rest for the weary.  I’m NOT complaining though as I am Incredibly happy and lucky to be here doing what I love to do.

I spent time in Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Wisconsin in July, teaching, judging and performing.   It’s always a pleasure to work with my fellow Canadian colleagues and friends.   It was also an honour to work and play with some of the top US players and educators at Strings without Boundaries in Appleton, Wisconsin.  (Julie Lyonn Lieberman, Randy Sabien, Darol Anger, Christian Howes and Matt Turner)  My Fiddle Family keeps growing and growing!

It was great to work with my band again too at a few festivals and concerts this summer.  Thank you to all of our hosts for the invitation to perform…. and thank you to my band:  Andy Thompson, Jerry Clancy,  Burke Carroll and Andrew Affleck.

Just a side note:  If you’ve never been to the Stewart Park Festival in Perth, ON,  please check it out.  It has to be one of the classiest and well run events I have ever had the pleasure of taking part in.  I thoroughly enjoyed doing a workshop with James Hill and Russell DeCarle!  Saw my friend Andre Brunet as well, from De Temps Antan! Thank you to everyone there for making our experience so awesome!

Finally…. thank you to everyone who voted for “Calvinish”  as Theme Music of the Year through Jeri Goldstein’s Biz Boosters!  I am now enjoying some amazing coaching sessions with her!  I am currently working on updates for my site, newsletter improvements, promotional work and zoning in on my writing and my next recording.

So much to learn and do……  but it’s exciting!!!!   Hope you’re all having a great summer.  I’m thrilled that I have been able to get out to see many of you already!!!   Keep in touch.
